Still Droppin’ the LBs

Joanna continues to lose weight. Today’s visit to the doctor revealed an overall seven pound loss since her last visit a few weeks ago. Hmm, maybe it has something to do with Zee’s constant rejection of whatever it is she tries to eat? I’m betting on that.

Despite her weight loss, the baby’s heart rate is normal and strong, so the doc’s not too concerned. He suggested drinking that favorite of geriatrics everywhere - Ensure. Given her track record with plain old milk, this is probably a good idea.

Remedies for Nausea During Pregnancy
Aside from keeping your tummy full and eating several mini meals each day, many women find supplementing with small amounts of vitamin B6 helpful during pregnancy. Studies suggest taking 10 to 25 milligrams of vitamin B6 each day helpful for reducing the signs and symptoms of morning sickness. As with any vitamin or mineral supplement or over the counter medication, you should always consult with your doctor before trying this or other remedies.

So maybe some B6-laced Ensure is in order. Whatever the answer is, its better than not eating or pecking away at next to nothing which has become the norm. Jo can’t wait for the second trimester - the feeling is altogether mutual.
