Colic remedy. I know this is going to sound crazy but it works. Dice up some onion. Boil it until pieces are clear. Let cool. Give a couple of teaspoons of the broth to baby.
Reason it works is onion is actually a member of the opiate family. Natural nerve calmer. It can also be used when the teething starts. Just peel off a piece of one layer. Tap with a knife to break the skin and get the juices flowing on the surface. Rub the juicy piece on the gums. Numbs the pain. No side effects beyond bad breath. It really does work. My sister and I cut our teeth on onion, and my kids cut theirs on it.
